CTG makes Skills Pledge
Thu 26th, Jul 2007
CTG have agreed to make the skills pledge which involves making a commitment to developing the skills of the companies' employees to strengthen the UK's position in the global economy.
The new government policy comes from the recently formed department for innovation, universities and skills. The skills pledge is designed to encourage companies to actively support their employees to gain the skills and qualifications that will support their future employability and meet the needs of the business. This includes acquiring the basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Vicky Palmer CTG's HR Officer went to sign the pledge at an event in London which was also attended by the minister for skills and Tottenham MP, David Lammy (pictured above).
Vicky said, "CTG are delighted to be able to support the skills pledge, the reason for CTG's success and rapid growth is down to the skills of the people we employ. Giving support to our employees to gain new skills and qualifications will not only benefit the individuals but also the company."
