TORQline™ equipped Apex motorsport Jaguar has successful first run
Tue 27th, Feb 2007
The Apex Motorsport Jaguar XKR GT3 had its first run on Friday the 23rd of February at Monza which was a complete success. This first test comes just four months after intensive design and development activities in order to get the car ready in time. Andy Wallace, Le Mans veteran who won with Jaguar in 1988, was first behind the wheel of the XKR he said, 'I could tell straight away after only a few laps that it will become a front runner after more testing'.
The XKR is fitted with a TORQline™ CS advanced composite propshaft, custom built for the 475 bhp Jaguar. The TORQline™ propshaft has the benefits of reducing weight giving less rotational inertia whilst increasing performance. The next round of FIA testing is on the 6th and 7th of March at Nogaro in France, with the first of five rounds of racing due to start at Silverstone in May, before finishing at Dubai in November.
