CTG supports land speed record attempt
Tue 5th, Mar 2002
CTG will be supporting a unique land speed record attempt this summer.
A team of students from Ohio State University are making an attempt on the Electric Vehicle Land Speed Record using a purpose-built vehicle. The team already compete in the American Formula Lightening Electric Racing Championship with their Smokin' Buckeye vehicle.
The new vehicle, the Buckeye Bullet, is intended to break the land speed record by travelling at over 300mph.
CTG are assisting with the project by designing and producing a composite torque tube (pictured above) that will help the vehicle to stay in shape under its massive torque loads.
Progress on the attempt will be reported on these pages.
