A team of Banbury based engineers from Crompton Technology Group (CTG) are to appear on the exciting new series of Scrapheap Challenge.
The new series starts on 30th August 2009 with a new format which contestants build their machines at homes over the course of a month, with just £450 to pay for scrap which they source themselves from different places.
The "Carbon Consolidators" consisted of Mike Dewhirst, Engineering Director, Simon Odling and Rob Allen, Engineers.
Dewhirst commented, "It was an enjoyable challenge - from using our engineering skills to be creative with our designs, working to a small budget, getting our hands dirty and building the product, and then to see the finished competitive product, challenge the show's team - The Diamonds, it was just like a normal day at work!"
Dewhirst continued to say, "…whether you are interested in engineering or not, I am sure our friends and families will enjoy the new series of Scrapheap Challenge"
