CTG Ltd, one of the UK's premier composites engineering businesses, headquartered in Banbury, Oxon, continues to dominate in technical innovation and export led sales.

On Monday 6th July, CTG was represented in Westminster by Scott Roberts (Managing Director) and Mike Dewhirst (Engineering Director) who formed part of the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) led delegation to promote high performance engineering within the UK.

Returning from a day spent lobbying business and industry ministers including, Rt Hon Lord Drayson, John Penrose MP, Ian Lucas MP and shadow minister, Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke.  Scott Roberts said, "CTG now boasts an order book in excess of £200M across the growing Aerospace & Defence and Clean Energy Technology sectors. This growth has been founded upon technical innovation driven through a continued investment in high performance engineering.  The strength of the technical and commercial platform developed by CTG's dynamic and entrepreneurial team has led to the creation of hundreds of jobs and brings future prosperity to the Cherwell Valley region".

Mike Dewhirst, promoting CTG's world beating technology at a parallel display in the House of Lords, explained, "Driving forward investment in research and development and building a strong intellectual property portfolio are two of CTG's key strategies.  Combining this with a 'Design for Manufacture' approach using the latest production techniques will keep CTG at the forefront of its field."

Building on the theme of job creation in the area, Tony Baldry MP, who spent the day at Westminster in support of the Banbury based business, announced "I am incredibly impressed by CTG.  They are an outstandingly innovative organisation, developing new products for key industries that are crucially important for the UK such as aviation and motorsports.  Having visited their business in Banbury on a number of occasions I associate CTG with all the key words that are crucially important for Britain's future: innovation, manufacturing and exports.  I hope that in years to come we will see CTG continuing to expand in Banbury, and along with excellent work being done by Prodrive, they will help give  further prominence to areas of pre-eminence in the motor sport industry"

CTG Ltd was incorporated eight years ago to design and manufacture mechanical systems where advanced composites technology provides the differentiating performance benefit. Employing 130 staff based in Thorpe Park, Banbury, with a turnover of £11M, CTG sells its carbon fibre based products to customers in the Aerospace & Defence, Energy, Medical and Motorsport market sectors. With an ambitious plan already in place to accelerate growth over the next decade, CTG is definitely one of the region's businesses to watch!
