CTG Sponsors Oxford Brookes Formula Student Team
Fri 5th, Jun 2009
CTG is pleased to announce its recent sponsorship of Oxford Brookes Formula Student Team, as part of the sponsorship deal CTG has provided a carbon fibre composite lightweight pressure vessel, this is to be used as part of a pneumatic gearshift system recently adopted by the Oxford Brookes challenger. The lightweight vessel has an operating pressure of over 300 bar and capacity of 1 litre with similar specification to those CTG vessels used in the ultra competitive and demanding Formula One environment. It is hoped that this lightweight part will only add to the competitiveness of the Oxford Brookes entry this year and CTG wishes the team the best of luck.
Oxford Brookes team statement; "CTG have provided Brookes Racing with a filament wound pressure vessel - a vital component in the cars semi-automatic gear shifting system. The outstanding characteristics of the vessel, ranging from its extreme robustness and light weight will ensure maximum performance from the system, and increase the competitive advantage of the team."
