CTG Invest In Aerospace Production
Mon 5th, Jan 2009
CTG took delivery of a 3 metre long CMM for it's High Lift Actuation Transmission Shaft production cell. The CMM carries out a full dimensional measurement of every shaft prior to despatch. Up to 32 shafts are loaded to the CMM, their labels scanned, and the measurement operation started. The CMM program is designed to take any mix of shafts manaufactured by CTG, and designed for lights out operating thereby increasing CTG's manufacturing capacity. On completion, all results are uploaded to a database giving complete traceabilty for the shafts.
