Transmission Shafts

CTG Aerospace produces advanced composite transmission shafts for a variety of torque and rotary motion aerospace applications including flap shafts and slat shafts, supplied to several key aerospace customers.

Our transmission shafts feature filament wound carbon fibre composite tubes with stainless steel end-fittings, mated by CTG Aerospace's unique mechanical interface. All processes, from design, development and qualification through to manufacture and inspection are carried out in-house, meaning we provide fast turn-around times, excellent customer liaison and support, and unrivalled product and process knowledge.

CTG Aerospace's transmission shafts are developed closely with customers to ensure their requirements and specifications are met. We are able to produce shafts in a variety of diameters and lengths, and can tailor their tube properties to accommodate a range of limit load requirements.

All transmission shaft designs offer exceptional fatigue resistance, go through a minimum 4-6 life cycle qualification process, and are maintenance-free for a minimum operational life of 20 years. All CTG Aerospace products and processes conform to the relevant aerospace standards for particular product types and applications.
