Dynometer shafts
CTG TORQline™ have
developed composite high speed dynometer shafts. The shaft assemblies are used
on dynometer rigs used for testing high performance engines for Nascar, Le Mans and F1. CTG's
experience and expert knowledge in the design and production of composite shafts
ensures that all products are of the highest possible quality.
The CTG
TORQline™ dynometer shafts feature high operational speeds in excess of
20,000rpm, high failure torque in excess of 4000Nm and ultra lightweight
assembly with very low rotational inertia. The dynometer shafts also have the
ability to tune torsional stiffness depending on the individual requirements by
adjusting the laminate design. The shafts also have the ability to use multiple
end fitting designs including CTG TORQdisc™ composite flexable drive couplings.
For a bespoke product, CTG TORQline™ dynometer shafts have a fast turnaround, going from design to production in 6-7 weeks. The shaft is also adaptable with the ability to run extensive fatigue and failure test programs.
