Current Vacancies:

Technical Planning Engineer:

This role is to manage the design, development & implementation of the production process & product validation phase of the New Product Introduction process for specific projects, as requested by the Technical Planning Manager to deliver a fully operational production.

Main responsibilties:
  • Design, develop & implement new production cells for new products in line with lean manufacturing principles and meeting capacity, quality, delivery, cost & system targets that satisfy customer requirements, deliver CTG's required margins and are compliant with CTG's business systems
  • To ensure that the production line is fully operational before being handed over to production management
  • Support Production & Business Improvement Teams with current production issues as required

Quality Engineers:

These roles are supporting the Quality Manager by undertaking Quality Engineering in relation to projects and the developments and maintenance of all related quality systems.  Supporting Engineering in the development of procedures, process flow diagrams, FMEA, SPC and control plans.  Also establishing effective processes and procedures for new product introduction and in the development of first off inspection reports, inspection plans along with supporting the introduction of development projects into large volume production.  Ensure Quality standards are adhered to at all times, review quality requirements with customer documentation and develop the company's Quality procedures and management system to ensure that best practice is achieved within all business areas.

 

The right candidates must have good communication and PC skills, knowledge and understanding of ISO9001, TS16949 or AS9100 systems (ISO14001), problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative, previous experience within Aerospace/Defence or Automotive organisation and understanding of related systems/standards would be advantageous.

 

Production Operatives:

 

Production Operatives to join CTG on rotating early and late shifts (although initially these will be on a day shift for approximately 6 weeks or until training has been completed).

 

These roles will be carrying out various production duties including working on filament winding machine, ensuring the facilities are in good working order, to minimise non-productive periods due to equipment failure. Other duties include general assembly, cleaning and general housekeeping along with any other duties given by the Team Leader.

 

The right candidates; need to be willing to learn, numerate and literate, understand basic technical information including drawing, have basic IT skills, a flexible attitude and be able to work in a small team.

Development/Project Engineers:

Graduate Engineers interested in design, development and product introduction. The right candidate needs to have a flexible attitude to working with new technologies and processes, have excellent technical written skills & project planning, with an analytical approach to working. They must be able to use CAD systems to generate designs of parts and tooling for the manufacture and processing of components for composite materials.  They need to have good practical and strong communication skills. Preferably the candidate will have a minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role.
